Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical

Mood: A tad sleepy actually...

On the 26th of last month, my family and I went to Istana Budaya to see the wonder that is Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical (link). It was the 3.00 o'clock show, which I think was the first time they perform durng the day, because it is usually at nights.

I have read a few reviews and from what people had said, it was great. And what they said was true. I was a bit anxious, there I was in my seat all excited.

The Actors
Amazing performence. AMAZING. Since I was in the second row, I could see the actors clearly and all. They were so in character. Even the minor characters were amazing. Although Tiara slipped and forgot her lines at 2 points of the show, it was fine. And Stephen Rahman-Hughes, great. He does look weird talking in Malay, with his background from London and not knowing Malay and stuff. If he's this great in PGL, I wonder how good he was in Bombay Dreams. Tiara is amazing as usual but AC Mizal, wow. I never have liked him much, going way back from the day when he was still in 4U2C, and all the Gerak Khas stuff, it never occured to me that he is this good of a perfomer. His expression, oh my gosh, so.... like the character, a bit arrogant, proud, and the royal straight-face, actually a permanent proud expression but with the tone of his voice, great. Adlin was great like always, but with the bit with him dfancing, that was shocking. Every character was awesome. Every single one of them.

The Music
GAH! *dies* I love the songs! I love it! Stephen! Oh gosh! Such a great great voice and the great control of it. I. HEART. YOU. And AC, I know with your musical background, I could not expect better because it was the best. And Adlin can sing! Whee~~ The background music, the embiance, whatever..... *sigh* I don't know how to express it in words. Great.

I have no idea what to type anymore, coz I'm sleepy! I don't know what else to say but if I could I would definately want to watch this again. And if you have a chance, watch it. I haven't mentioned a lot of this like the settings and stuff, but it was just wow.
